been contemplating a new blog address, and i've found it! :)

according to jackson,
when i blog about 'sensitive issues', i should set a password or just plain NOT blog about it at all. but hey, it IS my blog. so if you want to read it, DEAL WITH IT. in anycase, i've decided that since people like jackson feel this way, i'll just relocate. (ok, not ALL cos of jackson. also cos i want a new blog address. :) )

check this out. took this pic today whilst i was on my way to meet ting. this guy, in the POURING rain, holding an umberella, dragged his luggage along the busy road (the bus lane). i thought he was gonna hail a cab. but alas, NO! he just stopped and sat on top of his luggage. all the buses had to go around him in order to not knock him down. WEIRDO! :)

was watching the channel u talk show/forum hosted by dasmond yeo and quan yifeng. the topic for that day was teenagers commiting suicide. the case in question? the 16 year old teenage boy who committed suicide after his girlfriend requested a breakup. (?!??!?!?!?!)

they called the deceased's mom. omg. it was soooooo emotional. i cried lahh. (no biggie. but still.) hearing the mother's anguish and pain. she was weeping over the phone as she related the ordeal. the worst part is he's the only son. and the mother said, 'i already lost my son. and the media still hounds me and wants to interview me. i already lost my sonnnnn........'. so sad.

i will never know how it feels. although i've tried, tried, to imagine what it would be like without my family members (choy!) i don't think i'll ever really know until it happens to me.

anyway, as i was saying. committing suicide is the most selfish and irresponsible thing a person can do. only a coward would commit suicide. you're pushing your shame, your hurt, your debt, your sadness, your guilty, your EVERYTHING to the people around you. because of your one action, they'll forever berate themselves. i don't think one can ever get over a loved one's suicide. one will continue to wallow in self guilt and sadness - could i have helped him/her? could i have done something? i should have... if only.. all these will just keep replaying in the person's mind. it's a thoughtless and extremely selfish act.

the notion of suicide should never, never, never ever cross anyone's mind, no matter the situation. remember, the Lord your God cares even if no one else does.

read newspaper just now. apparently there's an online petition for the NKF person to step down (grr, still can't remember his name). 21,000 people have signed it.

i think? i think he SHOULD step down. it's for the good of NKF patients. i mean, with him around, who's gonna donate money??? at least if he steps down, with a new leader, people will resume their donations. furthermore, the sole purpose of NKF is to obtain donations to aid the kidney patients, isn't in? and as a CEO, you are supposed to uphold and facilitate this function. if he remains as CEO, and people STOP donating, the CEO is not doing his duty. so as the CEO of NKF, he has a duty to step down.

i don't think i'll stop donating.

was reading cleo last night, this particular article struck me. '9 warning signs you're not compatible'. basically the article mentioned how people with differing lifestyles and attitudes would be SUPER incompatible.

i've always subscribed to the phrase, 'opposites attract'. (like how north south attracts? and north north repels??) i wouldn't want to date someone who's EXACTLY like me. i mean, sure, he has to share my beliefs but i wouldn't want him to like a carbon male replica of me. that would be soooo boring. i know what i'm going to be doing tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow and the day after the day after tomorrow. this just means that i know what my other half will be doing tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow and the day after the day after tomorrow! hurhur. the whole relationship would just grow stale and be super predictable! where's the fun in that??

i firmly believe that a relationship should have lots and lots of spicyness! daily bickering and teasing only enhances the relationship! overload of caramel and sugar only makes you fat and ugly! LOL. i've seen friends who grew bored with their other half because he was always showering her with gifts and cookies and whatnots. (sugar overload, anyone?) this only leads to the other half taking the other for granted. (maybe that's only for me, hmm.) but honestly, sugar overload is a big NO NO for me. i don't want that. give me chilli belacan anytime please! i need quick wit and a sharp tongue. :)

oh shoot. i'm going off tangent. i'm supposed to be blogging about how opposites do attract. HMM. i always thought a sweet nice person would end up with like a fierce mean person who'll exploit her/him! haha. it's just like how me and joyce or me and shu are uber good friends. she's so nice and furry and sweet (sugar overload!!!!) and thus i'm there to exploit her! hurhur. but then again, there's the case of me being friends with laina or ting? both of whom are meanies just like me. so.... i guess it just depends!

i've just concluded that i'm going to fail my economics, history and gp because my thesis statement doesn't coincide with my conclusion! :)

yesterday night. decided to satistfy my craving for prata at thomson! :)

it's sad. i wanted paris to win. it's such a nice city, not that london isn't, but it would have been very nice indeed to watch a volleyball game going on in front of the eiffel tower. MAJESTIC lehh. and paris's logo was much nicer.

paris's one is NICER! play of the 'S' and the '2' to create a heart!

oh well. and this was paris's 3rd bid in 20years, and they probably won't be bidding again due to lack of finances. AHH. i mean, paris has nicer landmarks! there's NOTHING in London. again. oh well. and they lost by a miserly 4 votes. HMM.

results are almost all out. econs did fairly well, math probably a big fat F plus an O/F for history. econs is my only redemption. SUCKS.

was doing TAWG just now and realised that these few months, i haven't really been right with Him. it's like i've backslided and stuff. i said i would trust Him, but i haven't. i said i would lay all my burdens down on Him, but i haven't. and all this while, while i've neglected Him, He has always been there for me. all this while. THANK YOU! because i couldn't have done it alone. i couldn't have gone through mids without Him, i couldn't have gone through anything without Him. i'm gonna be right with Him again. i'm GONNA.

road trip to city square!

went with joyceh to city square (jb) yesterday! woo hoo. had a little scare at the johor immigration centre cause joyce's photo didn't resemble her! so the immigration officer didn't let her through. but after a little clarification where the officer made her promise (haha.) to change her photo, he let her through.

and we spent like close to 2hours just shopping factory outlet! sooooo much fun. and then we went to eat. i bought lotsa stuff! and i felt soooo guilty. joyce and me were saying, we totally understand how pinkshoefetish can spend so much money and buy so many stuff. i mean, i did! so it's not that surprising when it happens to you.

plus, after shopping at city square, i really really REALLY think shopping in singapore is SOOOOO expensive. i mean, you get value buys there for like half the price. the price of a giordano pair of jeans in sg can get you 2 pairs of wranglers/lea jeans there lahh!

anyways, i bought 4tops, 1 denim jacket and 1 pair of shoes for less than $100! can you believe it?????! plus the tops were anf, denim jacket was HOLLISTER can. it's US$89 on their webby. i got it for S$25?! but i'm not sure i'll use it in singapore, soooo..... oh wells.
